Domko is a non-commercial index of real-estate listings. This page says, in plain words, what we keep about you, why, and how you delete it.
If you just browse (no account)
- We keep nothing about you in our database. For visitor statistics we use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager): Google sees which pages you open, your device type and an approximate location from your IP address, and sets its own cookies. We use this only to see what gets used — not for ads. A tracking blocker in your browser (e.g. uBlock Origin) stops it, and the site works the same.
- Our own two small cookies remember your language and currency, and one keeps you signed in. Those cookies go to no third parties.
- The server (like every server on the internet) briefly records the IP address and the page opened in a technical log, for security and troubleshooting. Those records are deleted automatically after two weeks.
- Listing thumbnails load directly from the source site, and the map background from OpenFreeMap — those sites then see your IP address, just as if you opened them yourself. We send them nothing.
- "Current location" on the home page sends your coordinates only when you tap it, only to find the nearest neighbourhood, and does not store them.
If you create an account
- Your email address, so sign-in works and we can send a password-reset link. We send no newsletters or ads.
- Your first and last name (asked at sign-up since 6 Sept 2026), so the site owner knows who created the account.
- Your password only as an unreadable fingerprint (PBKDF2-SHA256). Even we cannot read it.
- What you do on the site yourself: favourite listings, hidden listings, saved searches and your last search (for recommendations). Only your account sees them.
- If you turn on sharing of favourites, the link shows only the listings — not your email or name.
- To protect against password guessing, failed sign-in attempts are counted per email and IP address and deleted after one hour.
How long, and how it is deleted
- Everything tied to the account is kept as long as the account exists. On the "Account" page you can delete it yourself, immediately, by re-entering your password — the password fingerprint, favourites, hidden listings and searches are deleted. Your name, email and the sign-up and deletion dates stay in an internal list of accounts that only the site owner can see, so they know who has used the site. If you want that removed too, get in touch and we will remove it.
- We do not sell, rent or share the data with anyone. The only third parties that see some data are the server the site runs on (Hostinger, EU) and Google Analytics for visitor statistics (never your email or account contents).
Listings are not your data
- The listings you see are public listings from other sites. We keep only the basic facts (price, area, location, rooms, one thumbnail link) and a link to the original. We do not keep descriptions or photos.
- If you want a listing gone, contact the site it was published on — once it disappears there, it disappears here at the next check.
Questions
The site's contact address will be published here soon. Deleting your account and data needs no contact — it is self-service on the "Account" page.
